Doggie Day Care and Grooming Services

Our Boutique Day Care services are designed to provide a high level of care for your pooch
focussing on individual needs and goals. Our high staff to pooch ratio means we are able to
spend more time with your pooches and maximise the benefits from their time with us.

Does your dog have a history of barking when they are left home alone?

Need some socialisation and excercise?

Or do you simply not want your dog left alone at home all day?

We offer by the hour, half-day and full-day care soltuions for your four legged friend.

How do you sign up?

It's Easy As!!!

1. Register Online

Before we can have you attend DD you need to complete your online registration form which will be assessed by our team. This gives us a heap of valuable information about you and your pooch and how we can best prepare to care for you at our Service.

2. Attend a behavioral assessment

Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to book your pooch into a behavioral assessment. Behavioural assessments are four hours and allow us to assess whether your pooch is suitable for and whether we are able to adequately meet their needs in a Day Care setting.

3. Ready to Start

Once you have attended and passed a behavioural assessment, we will invite you to Petexec our day care booking platform. We will also send you a bunch of housekeeping information so you know what to do moving forward - so make sure you keep an eye out for that!

Compulsory Behavioural Assessment $75 - 4 hours

Late Fee - $15 per 30 minutes past closing time

We offer daily secure dog walks.

Ask us to add our "Walking Service" to your doggies Day care at drop off.

Cost $15 / 30mins

Focussed Training Single session - $40

Choose a focus element (eg recall) and our trainers will spend 1:1 time on
your pooch during their day care day and they will email you feedback on
what they have spent time doing and progress made – this will include hints
and tips to help you progress your training with your pooch from home!

Focussed Training bootcamp - $210

A 6 session bootcamp to focus on an area of training with your pooch. You will receive an initial report and a final report after the sixth session. Your pooch must be in attendance at daycare for the sessions (reduced to $50),
sessions must take place 1x session per week to promote continuity.

A single session with a trainer, focussed on helping your pooch improve their
fitness whilst having a whole lot of F-U-N! Session intensity will be based on
breed and current fitness capability. Videos of the session will be made
available on the Family Facebook page.

Fit’n’fun single session - $30

Fitcamp - $275

A 6-session fitness program designed to focus on weight loss, fitness and conditioning based on your pooches individual goals. You will receive weekly
weight in, initial report and final report on your pooches progress. Pooch will also receive an ozone Therapy session on week 4 to assist them in their recovery and progression. Pooch must be in attendance at daycare for the sessions (reduced to $50 per day), sessions must take place 1x session per week to promote continuity. Requires an initial questionnaire to be completed
about current diet, medical history, exercise habits and desired goals for your pooch. Dietary changes may* be recommended in the initial report.

Recovery / Geriatric Bootcamp - $400

A 6-session recovery/revitalisation program designed to focus on post injury or
geriatric dogs. Foccued on increasing range of movement, fitness and conditioning based on your pooches individual goals. You will receive weekly weight in, photos, initial report and final report on your pooches progress. Pooch will also receive an Ozone Therapy session, combined with a full body massage each week to promote recovery and progression. Pooch must be in attendance at daycare for the sessions (reduced to $50 per day), sessions must take place 1x session per week to promote continuity. Requires an initial questionnaire to be completed about current diet, medical history, exercise habits and desired goals for your pooch. Dietary changes may* be recommended in the initial report.

This is for the pampered pooches. Includes an Ozone Therapy bath, hydration mask and foot soak, with a complimentary bow or grooming necktie - photos and videos of your
pooches are sent through (additional costs for grooming on top or long haired pooches)

PAW-resent PAW-ty - $65

This includes a birthday PAW-ty surprise pack, including a toy, a wearable and a birthday photo (digital) to celebrate their day.

Adventure PAW-ty - $65

One on one adventure to your choice of the beach of the Farm with a daycare attendant with photos and videos of their adventure.

We understand that every furry friend deserves a celebration as unique as they are. That's why we offer customisable party packages to fit your pooch's personality and preferences.

Pooch Personal Care

Person care of your pooch is of the utmost importance, we focus on providing a
services to help keep you on track whilst your pooch is in day are:

Bone in a box $10 – your choice of our current bone selection provided to your dog whilst in daycare
Teeth cleaning $10 – we can brush your pooches teeth whilst they’re here
(this will not remove tartar build up but will assist in preventing further damage if done consistently)
Nail trimming $15 – nail trimming reduces the risk of causing issues with your pooches feet including feet fractures and negative impacts to your pooches posture and gait.
Flee and Tick Treatment $25

30 minute Sniffari - $15

Sensory enrichment is key to a happy and healthy pooch. Whilst we aim to maximise this during daycare in an indoor environment, there are endless benefits associated with your pooches enjoying the natural environment. So to provide them with the best oppurtunity to get the most out of their day with us, we have 30 minute sniffari's on offer! For $15 our staff will take your pooch for a wander along some nearby nature tracks so your pooch can sniff to their hearts desire! Limited spots available, so don't forget to book online or let the staff know to secure your spot!

Socialisation

Need I say more? Socialisation is a M-U-S-T. If you don’t want an anxiety ridden dog who lunges on the leash of who shivers in the corner when children come over, then you need to create a well balanced pooch, one who is exposed to dogs, people and encounters of all shapes and sizes. You need to build their resilience by normalising change and a range of experiences and here at Doggy Distractions, we create an ideal platform for you to do just that - with no effort involved!

Enrichment

Enrichment is something that has started to trend in the canine health and wellness community. The health benefits both physically and mentally of activities designed to test our pooches continue to be uncovered.

Here we focus another portion of our day on enrichment activities. Whether food orientated, smell orientated, or goal oriented, each activity is designed to challenge a particular sense of your dog in a way that enhances their natural skill and ability.

Generally speaking, most dogs were bred for a purpose, and unfortunately, in today's society dogs are not being challenged in the manner they would have been previously, therefore enrichment activities allow us to meet this need in your pup.

Dogs enjoy learning. As pack animals, they enjoy having a pack leader who guides them on how to act and directions to follow. Ensuring a dog is always learning so that we can better communicate our expectations of them minimizes negative interactions which leads to strong and more positive relationships.

Whilst in day care our team has scheduled sessions to focus on basic obedience to ensure we better prepare your pooch for positive interactions both in the day care space as well as when you take them home!

It is our aim throughout the year to focus on small wins with our Day Care clients, which we celebrate on our Doggie Distractions Family Facebook page as well as in Quarterly reports on your pooches time in day care.

Obedience

Dogs always have energy to burn! Don’t we know it!. But play has more importance to your dog then simply having fun and being tired. Dogs learn from their interactions with other people and animals. They learn how to read one another by the way others respond to their behaviours.

At doggy day care, our staff are able to ensure that dogs are playing in a safe way, while allowing them the opportunity to develop their skills both in terms of managing their responses to other dogs as well as learning to control their levels of behaviour.

Play is essential in the development of dogs, as it is with people. Being pack animals, it is important for dogs to remember that they are in fact dogs as this minimises the negative impacts associated with anthropomophism.
